With every year that passes more advanced more painless procedures are emerging to fight all types of minor and major problems of the human kind. Fat and fat accumulation under the skin, better known as cellulite has bothered women a great deal for centuries. Today, you have the power of laser technology to help you.

Why Should You Choose Laser Liposuction Over Other Methods?

There are many reasons why most people (both male and female) prefer the laser liposuction to any other procedure. The most important of all the reasons is because it involves an almost completely painless intervention. The feel of the laser light impact on the skin can be totally eliminated with the help of a local anesthetic.

The second reason would be that there is no extraction of the fat with the laser liposuction

which makes this process as the least invasive of all the liposuction methods known to the human kind. The dissolved fat cells caused by the laser beam, would be removed naturally i.e. through the lymphatic system. This would in turn mean that you would recover within a blink of an eye without any risk or infection which is a very real and scary risk involved with this type of intervention.

The third reason is that the laser liposuction promotes the production of collagen which ensures that the skin gets back to its original suppleness in the shortest time possible. With the traditional liposuction methods there is always the risk of the skin not being able to shrink back after the fat has been removed, which would make the matter even worse than before. With the laser liposuction this risk is reduced to a very large extent.

The Downside Of The Laser Liposuction

There is a little less to worry about when you use this procedure as compared to any other type. However, there are some risks when you use this method as well. It has been observed that sometimes following laser intervention there is a fluid build-up in the body which takes a lot of medical persuasion to get rid of it.

Another disadvantage is that it cannot yet be applicable to large areas in the body and hence it is limited to smaller areas, such as face, neck, upper arms, etc. Traditional type of liposuction would be advised for larger areas such as the abdomen, the thighs, and so on.

Overall however, the picture looks good because this procedure has obtained the approval of FDA which makes it quite safe to use for the present.

Body fat, obesity and weight control are a few things that have come as the downside of the advanced technology era we are living in. The computer age has made life so comfortable and bereft of physical work, while at the same time facilitated the production of fast food which is tasty enough to cause one in every three Americans to suffer from weight related problems.

Liposuction – The Shortcut To A Better Looking Body

The best way to loose weight is indeed exercise and diet control. However, most people find this method too slow and unrewarding. Hence, the preference turns to procedures such as liposuction which promises overnight results. This is a particularly great solution against cellulite cells which tend to resists the toughest exercising regimes and diets.

In case you would choose liposuction over the natural processes and medication to reduce your weight, you would need to know what are the various techniques adopted so you could decide which is the one that would suit you best before you go under the scalpel.

The Various Techniques Of Liposuction

There are many techniques available for this procedure. The first, which is known as the fluid injection liposuction involves injecting a mixture of fluids (anesthesia, saline water and special medication that controls bleeding) under the skin in the region where the surgery would take place; when the fat dissolves and gets dislodged it would be aspired through a hollow canula which would be inserted under the skin for particularly for this purpose. The injected fluid should help with the controlling of the pain as well as bruising.

There is yet another technique known as tumescent liposuction. This method requires that the entire anesthetic that would have to be administered to the patient through the liquid that would be injected under the skin which would result in the swelling and breaking up of fat due to which the skin becomes tumescent. In this manner it is possible to work faster and remove more fat from under the skin. The same risks would apply as with the injection liposuction method.

The present day modern technology has recently introduced laser and ultrasonic rays for destroying the fat cells under the skin with exceeding ease and accuracy than has never been experienced before. Though this method would be slightly more risky, it is worth the trouble because when used correctly it definitely ensures a higher degree of success as well.

Lastly, you would have the wet liposuction technique where the same mixture of medical liquid is injected under the skin, but this time the amount of fluid would have to be the same as the perceived weight of fat. This is the least risky amongst all the procedures and would require general anesthesia.
