Even if you are fit and healthy there may be areas of your body that you are not totally satisfied with. Especially if you have recently lost a significant amount of weight, you may find that you have excess fat deposits on your body that you cannot seem to get rid of even with proper diet and exercise.

This is where the practice of liposuction comes into play, and liposuction is actually now one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the world. It is a surgical procedure that is used to remove fat deposits and shape the body, and the fat is removed from under the skin with the use of a vacuum suction canula or using an ultrasonic probe that emulsifies the fat and then removes it with suction.

Arm Liposuction

There are a few areas in particular on the body that liposuction is commonly performed on, and this includes the buttocks, thighs, abdomen, and arms. The arms are actually one of the areas on the body that constantly yield the highest level of patient satisfaction and happiness.

The aesthetic goal of arm liposuction is to create a more slimmed and proportionate appearance on the body and to make the patient feel better about themselves, especially when they are in social situations while wearing short sleeve clothing. The aim of arm liposuction is to improve a disproportionate appearance of the arm, to allow the patient to feel more comfortable and less self conscious, and to achieve a thinner appearance of the arms overall.

The Surgery

The arm liposuction surgery is fast and relative painless. The use of microcannulas permits a relatively aggressive approach to liposuction of the arms, while at the same time helping by minimizing the risks of aesthetically displeasing irregularities of the skin.

Risks and Complications

Although the problems associated with the arm liposuction procedure are few and in between, but they are still possible and so anyone even considering this procedure needs to be fully aware of these. The most common problem associated with liposuction of the arms is excessive and uneven removal of fat. This lumpy appearance becomes grossly accentuated over time, especially if the patient gains weight.

You may also want to have other liposuction procedures performed in conjunction with the arm liposuction in order to reshape your entire body and leaving it in proper proportion. This will leave you feeling and looking at your very best.

Our chin is one of the most noticeable features of our face. If our chin is appears to be weak, the rest of our facial features will also appear weak. As we grow older, our chin starts to sag giving us that proverbial “double chin” look.

For most people, having a double chin can be quite unflattering. Fortunately, double chin can be corrected through chin liposuction. Chin liposuction removes the excess fat under the skin and allows the skin to tighten. The effect of chin liposuction is often very dramatic especially for middle aged people who have just lost a considerable amount of weight. Chin liposuction can make a person look younger and definitely more beautiful. If you are one of those people who have been having problems with your chin, you should consider undergoing liposuction.

Things to Consider Before Undergoing Liposuction

Doctors do not just perform liposuction on their patients without evaluating their patients first. As a protocol, you need to visit the doctor’s clinic for an evaluation and assessment before you undergo liposuction. The purpose of the evaluation and assessment is to determine as to whether or not you are qualified for the procedure. No, not everyone is qualified for this procedure.

Always remember that liposuction is an invasive procedure and your pre-existing medical condition may prevent you from undergoing this procedure. To make sure that you are qualified for the procedure, your doctor will need to conduct a pre-procedure evaluation and testing. Once your doctor is sure that you are qualified for chin liposuction, he or she will schedule you for the procedure.

24 hours before your chin liposuction, you should not consume any alcoholic beverages. Alcohol interferes with the absorption of anesthesia in the body so you should never drink before a chin liposuction or any other procedure for that matter. You don’t really want to end up awake and in pain during the whole thing. Moreover, alcohol can affect the consistency of your blood. Studies show that people who have been drinking a few hours before a procedure tend to bleed more compared to those people who have not touched alcohol for a few days or so.

Alcohol is still off limits to you after the chin liposuction. According to experts, alcohol can compromise and weaken your immune system so you should stay away from this stuff after you had chin liposuction. It may be a good idea to stay away from alcohol completely until your wounds have healed.
